| Happy December!
It's going to be a super busy one for us.
The reason I got on here was to say that we have all of our home inspections scheduled for tomorrow. So keep your fingers crossed that we don't come across any unforeseen problems!!

| WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless something unforseen happens we will close on January 20th!!!!!!!!!
| Happy Thanksgiving a day early! I hope everyone has an amazing holiday!
PS - We put in an offer on a house last Saturday. It's a beautiful house for a great price. Another couple had put in an offer as well, but they withdrew yesterday. So now we are just waiting for the bank (who owns the home) to review our offer and application. Hopefully we will know something by the beginning of next week. Please keep your fingers crossed for us! I'm really trying to not be overly excited about this because I don't want to be bummed if it doesn't work out. BUT it's an awesome house and we are in love with it. I really hope this works out for us.
Anyway besides that not too much to update on! Courtney is supposed to get his new leg on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of this coming week. Hopefully it will work out too.
Happy Thanksgiving Guys!
| "You could be my unintended, choice to live my life extended..."
So it's been awhile since I updated thought I would leave a quick little update.
First: Happy November!
Hubby Update: Courtney has been doing really well. We are waiting for him to get his carbon fiber leg & socket (those will be his last leg and socket). Unfortunately this was supposed to happen 2 weeks ago and the leg has yet to come in. His prosthetist told him that it would be in this week. And again the hospital screwed up the order and it wasn't in. I understand that Walter Reed is the best hospital for amputee's, but I think they should be more on the ball with things because of this. They just aren't. And sometimes I get really fed up with it. On a good note - Courtney will be able to start running after he gets this leg. He misses running, for the life of me I can't understand why. (haha just a joke) His med boards should start in March 2010. Those are going to be a pain in the ass and can take up to a year a half.
Other Things: We are actively looking for a house in VA now. It's been a year and a half since all of this happened and for lack of a better way to say it, I feel like my life has been on pause. It's time to get back to some normalcy. Fortunately this time around we don't have to rush into anything and we are taking our time to find our 2nd home. We've only seen 4 houses so far (nothing spectacular). We are driving to VA on Sunday to look at a few more. I forgot how stressful this process is. There are so many things to consider. Wish us luck!
I'm thinking about starting a new Xanga. I have had this one since my senior year of high school. (5 years) I feel like I'm done with this particular part of my life. I might just make a new page. I'll let all of you know if I do. Still undecided.
I hope this post is finding everyone well. And incase I don't get back on before...I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving!

Brandee reminded me that I kinda dropped a bomb at the end of September then never said anything else about it! Thanks Brandee!
Anyway hubs did NOT have an infection. Things have actually been going really well. This is the longest (almost 3 months) he's gone without having a surgery since he got back ((knock on wood)). So things are going really well. He's talking about joining an ice hockey team and snow boarding this year. Both are good signs. :)
Besides that we are going to Charlotte for a few days this week. Just a little mini-vacation...come to think of it we need to go on an actual vacation sometime soon.
We are also in touch with a realtor looking for our next home. We aren't rushing into anything like we did the last time. Just taking our time looking for a great 2nd home! :)
And that's really all that's going on right now.
Hope this post is finding everyone well and that everyone is enjoying their October thus far!
